Pastor: Cody C. Robinson
Born in the small Cherokee community of Shady Grove, west of Tahlequah, Cody’s favorite activity growing up was reading and writing short stories. The member of a large Cherokee family who emphasized education, he was raised with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
After receiving a bachelors and masters level degrees, Cody felt something was missing from his life- ignoring a calling to serve in ministry until his Walk to Emmaus in 2017. After experiencing first-hand in community with others who were missing Christ’s love in their lives, Cody sought out ways to apply his formal education to ministry.
With a passion for justice and mentoring, Cody became a vital member to the NSU Wesley Foundation after serving in student leadership roles after graduation from NSU in 2014.
Cody formally served as Liturgist and member of the Administrative Council for Tahlequah First United Methodist Church, but still serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the NSU Wesley Foundation.
A United Methodist for eight years, Cody is constantly seeking opportunities to serve the Church at-large through advocacy, education, and discipleship.
He is currently a third year student at Phillips Seminary in Tulsa.
